The Golden Samurai
As a part of my ongoing magic research, I've been working with poppets and
voodoo dolls for a while now. For a short explanation, see
"Voyage Into Voodoo" on
www.magic-spells-and-potions.com I personally find this form of doll making
for portal purposes extremely interesting, because it feels very similar if not
exactly the same as working with other modalities - such as painting, trance,
sculpture, music etc - only that because of the fact that one is making a doll,
it brings in other frequencies that were not addressed before.

It came to me to start making a doll the other night and I had nothing in
mind, as far as conscious planning is concerned. I had no idea what it was going
to be or become when I started. As with everything else, and even with writing,
there is a progression and a flow in the steps of making a voodoo doll or a
poppet or a statuette or an art doll or whatever these things really are.
One starts with the body and it just "becomes" and takes shape as the hand
and eye are guided to what is right, and what is wrong.
After
the body, there is the face which reveals more about the being which is
unfolding here; the hair, then there is the dress, the colours, the fabrics, the
style; and finally any decoration which is always highly symbolic.
I engaged in this processes with full immersion, going from one to the other
and had still no idea what it was that I was making - until it was finished and
I then knew it was "The Golden Samurai".
A voodoo doll of any deity is supposed to open a channel to that deity; allow
for a personal contact and interactions or you could call it an energy exchange,
if you wanted to. A voodoo doll is a portal to a specific energy form, in other
words.
I have googled The Golden Samurai and there is really nothing that I could
find, at least not in the English language, that has any bearing on this or is
about a deity that may be described in such a way.
As always with Art Solutions, this is a wonderful surprise.
I don't know what it "means" but I like him/it (I have this sense that The
Golden Samurai is quite androgynous in nature somehow) and if my energy mind
thought I'd needed some of that Golden Samurai energy, then I am more than
willing to bow to this and accept this gift gladly and in good spirits :-)
So a good welcome to The Golden Samurai and I'm most delighted to have this
statuette in my home, and now also on my website.
