Alien, Sensuous & Delightful
When a master story teller like our own StarFields takes on the vampire myth, you can be assured of something amazing happening in the fusion.
Vampire Solstice is an extraordinary book.
The vampires are right here. They are amongst us, and they are closer than ever before.
We learn about their society in first hand accounts that are alien, sensuous and delightful all at once, and just like the human potentials in the story, we become drawn towards, as irresistibly as a moth will be drawn to a flame. It is in that immersion in their alien society, with their own laws of conduct (and what laws they are!) that we begin a journey of discovery about our own kind, all the same.
As we experience the events that lead up to the Festival of Blessings, we meet some of the most extraordinary characters the vampire genre has ever seen. Lady Adela Bach, who has forests in her trail; Mark Edwards, the essence of Peter Pan; Gaius Levinius, the ancient law maker and of course, the Lady Valia, the oldest vampire still to walk the Earth, and her consort, Prince Meruvian. StarFields has made these and the other unforgettable characters come to life in rich and extraordinary detail; there are images and events evoked here that will remain with reader - possibly forever.
An extraordinary read, an extraordinary cast, a fantastic sequence of events, a story that never loses its pace, its excitement and forward momentum as we are moving towards the cataclysm that is Vampire Solstice, the Festival of Blessings – this is a book you will want to read again, and again.
Highly recommended.

A Trip Into New Realms Of Fantasy & Imagination
I soared with the story and hated putting it down!
Folks who love vampire stories will find a new direction in this one!
Folks like me, who were not particularly drawn to vampire literature will
become fascinated with this genre as it is written in Vampire Solstice.
The story told from several individuals as they evolve from a variety of degrees
of human to vampire presents opportunities to expand ones
imaginations to fit the characters' perspectives.
I love the richness of word pictures that open my reading mind to a fantasy world that almost fits with reality at times to the degree that I as reader was encouraged to practice a few energetic moves myself!
The development of myths throughout the book were constantly intriguing. I would want to check back on outside myth to contrast it with the development in Vampire Solstice but was too intrigued to want to put down the book to do so. Especially readers with some idea of energy flow, Emotrance, Project Sanctuary will find Vampire Solstice a reading adventure. As an introduction to any of these concepts as well as further developing one's ideas of Vampire lore, reading Vampire Solstice will be a trip into new realms of energy and imagination.

Fantastic, Alien, Human, Soaring - Amazing
I have been a great fan of Silvia Hartmann's work for many years. I especially loved - love! - Project Sanctuary but I must confess I was a little daunted by the idea of reading a vampire novel.
Oh ye of little faith.
This book is fantastic, alien, human, soaring - amazing.
Beautiful words, but more important (to me) is the beautiful message. Love forever, indeed.
This book should be made into a movie - as soon as possible!
Thank you,

Extravagant, Divine Energy - And A Pleasure To Read
Vampire Solstice is rich with initiation and communion. This author has given us a charming array of characters with balanced personalities who interact on many different levels. Readers will not find it difficult to decide whether there is indeed a reality beyond the rational. Ascendance, the layers of this immortal movement, the readers can be sure that the vampires are not fake - that is, that they do not have a fleeting encounter with the mystical transformation. Festival of the Blessings, the annual winter Solstice gathering of vampires, marks the starting point of a well-managed slow journey insisting on proper training for the new generation of vampire initiates.
Vampire Solstice, an ancient accelerator greets the readers with extravagant concentrated, divine energy loaded with esoteric language and holds the vampire tenets as an enabling quality of sensuality freed from outer restraints and disciplined from within.
Vampire Solstice is far above the norm for its genre and it was a pleasure to read.

An Amazing, Beautiful Work Of Literary Fiction
From the moment we meet Lady Valia, Vampire Solstice draws you in and doesn't let go.
There is a rhythm like a wave beneath the story, reflected in some of the most poetic language I've seen, that is hypnotic and transported me into that alternate reality. I had to read more, know more.
I finished the entire book in record time and enjoyed every minute.
The ending is satisfying and inevitable both; a perfect conclusion to an amazing, beautiful work of literary fiction.
I just hope that readers will be able to look past the title and discover what is a gem on many different levels.

A Magic Mirror To The Human Soul
The first time you read this book, you'll probably love it. Vampire Solstice is a fascinating, fast paced story which moves into the unknown, told by the characters caught up in the events. It is surprising, fresh, intriguing and a good read at first glance.
The second time you read this book, you'll be amazed. Layers upon layers of exquisite meaning, shimmering like a multi-faceted jewel, depending which way you look at it. You will discover all manner of treasures within Vampire Solstice - insight, emotion, and not to forget the stunning elegance of Starfields' unique and poetic literary expression.
The third time your read it, you'll be in awe. I still am. I consider Vampire Solstice to be nothing less than a magic mirror to the human soul.

Hope, Joy & Wonder
"Vampire Solstice" is a very enjoyable book.
It's gripping, I had to keep reading to find out what happens next.
The many vivid images painted by the prose will linger in my memory for a very
long time.
The characters struggle with the changes happening in their lives, just like us,
and this creates a powerful empathy which adds to the impact of the
transformations undergone by the end of the book.
The book has left me with feelings of hope and joy and wonder.
This is definitely a journey worth taking.
