"Magic Failure" is a term Project Sanctuary players use to describe a peculiar state of affairs whereby a person forgets that they have magic and the power to create reality.

I seem to be coming out of various closets recently, stating my opinion, and drawing the proverbial line in the sand on a far more regular basis. I do think that has something to do with having nearly died and this must have re-arranged my point of view and my priorities.

Here's the latest example. I actually came out with it and said:

I've been writing for a while about the energizing effect of real visions - it is a side effect of working with visions that is both surprising and truly delightful.

What is the great fear of a random housewife, going out to a party down the pub? That there will be other women in the same dress. Of course this can happen if you buy your clothes in the local supermarket - but surely, if you pay gazillions for haute couture, that's exactly what can't happen to you and you can relax in the knowledge that your designer frock sets you apart from the trampling herd? Hmmm ....

Well, when I woke up this morning, I asked myself those questions and did a web search to find out what the current definition of art might be. But I was in for a shock ...

After the recent health scare, I have been told by doctors and guardian spirits alike (and how often does it happen that they ever agree?! on anything?!) that I have to throttle back and take it a whole lot easier. Whether you call it Christmas, Solstice, or the Festival of Lights, this is a holy time of the year, of this there can be no doubt.

At the end of November, I became acutely ill and was taken to hospital. An operation was scheduled for December 31st, and today is December 21st, and it's true to say I'm not feeling at my best.

I have collected the exercises from the Events Psychology study group in a document with some helpful tips and hints. Those who are interested in discovering more about Events Psychology and/or using the principles with their clients can use the exercises book to familiarise themselves with how EvP works, what it feels like, what it does.

A lot of people are in personal development to avoid failure - the idea being that if you're "good" and you do "all the right things" then you'll be immune from adversity, accident, incident, illness and death, one must presume. I have always thought that it's more like increasing one's abilities to cope with whatever life might throw in one's direction. As the old quote goes, "Don't pray for an easier life, pray for a stronger back."

There are all sorts of things one can do in personal development to prepare for the future. One of the things that I have always rated above all else is the power of meditation, or Project Sanctuary to be precise, and to learn to be GOOD AT IT. It's a fun game when all is well, but it isn't until life strikes that the real value and worth of esoteric personal development really becomes revealed. Here's a case in point.

It is extraordinary.

Just when the day seems filled up with annoying muppet nonsense yet again, and I'm jjjjust about to forget how cool the real world really is - up comes the perfect rainbow to cheer me up.

Not just that.

But the rainbow turns up at the very second as I'm standing in the garden, with the camera in my hand, switched on, and ready to go.

This is a really fascinating story about a policeman, a rape victim, and the consequences of their meeting following the attack where the victim became a victim of friendly fire in energetic terms. Shame, self mutilation, eventual resolution and some EXTREMELY important learnings about interacting with others in moments of high stress and trauma. Highly recommended.

Everybody takes the 55 minute therapy hour to be the gospel - but is it necessary to have meditations and hypnosis inductions be that long? I've been looking at affirmations, how they work and what they are, pretty much since I first started in personal development in 1979. That's a long time! It wasn't really until I got seriously into the principles of magic that I fully understood how PRIMAL and POWERFUL affirmations can be - if you know what you're doing. So I wrote a report and self training program to put down the principles and the techniques and patterns to make real POWER AFFIRMATIONS - even for someone who has NEVER managed to make affirmations work for them before. Over the years, I've been asked many, many times to make an Energy Hypnosis Past Life Regression. I thought about it but didn't see the sense in it because there are soooo many Past Life Regression products already available.

At some point earlier this year, I had a vision in conjunction with something else that was really quite beautiful and made me say, "Yes! That's different! That's MY personal contribution to the Past Life Regression or rather, "Many lives - soul travel" field, that's worth doing now."

Wow! What an experience! Taking EmoTrance to the general public was one thing, but then there were the personal experiences - and a breakthrough insight into my relationship with EmoTrance as well. The world will never be quite the same again ...

Not many people know this, but behind all masterful things there lie not mechanics, but the MOVEMENT OF ENERGY.

The movements a calligraphy master makes are essentially the SAME MOVEMENTS that the martial arts master creates; they are the same movements the sword master creates, and they are the same movements the magician creates with their magic wand.

All of those movements are ENERGY BEING MOVED, REALITY BEING CHANGED TO YOUR WILL.

Now this is one of these weird things that I've observed and wondered about over the years - WHY is it that out of all the many peoples in the world, only the ENGLISH have a situation where fully grown heterosexual macho men will throw themselves with glee and much delight into women's dresses given the slightest chance and half an opportunity?

Tonight, I've given one piece of advice YET again, and I must have said that a hundred times now, and in all sorts of contexts - developing your healing powers, your paranormal abilities, your creative abilities, your intelligence, your health, wealth, joy, happiness, success ... man, it is ONE PRINCIPLE, one single trick that underlies it all and I swear will lead to enlightenment eventually.

Personal development is a funny thing. We all have our own personal challenges, and for me, so much is tied up in singing and songwriting, it is hard to fathom just how much.

To celebrate the arrival of my new computer, a Dell laptop this time, and the ceremonial re-installation and test of my various art programmes, here is a new virtual abstract painting "Springtime On Darius 6" - :-)

I was watching an episode of "Brat Camp" with my teenage son tonight.

For those who don't know what that is, Brat Camp is a series of documentaries about wayward teenagers being sent to Utah to haul logs in the wilderness, for MONTHS on end, to "find themselves".

Stress is a real problem, but the advice to stressed folk to meditate and learn meditation is throwing them into a Catch 22 situation - they don't know how to relax, and so they can't meditate. But here's hypnosis to the rescue - which is much better for stress than meditation!

I've been a certified hypnotist since 1993, and one thing I've never done is weightloss, and stop smoking programmes.

That is due to the fact that I smoke 60 a day and eat what I like, and I was never really happy with preaching what I don't do myself, so I just stayed clear of the two main stays of the hypnotist's profession.

Until the other day, end of January 2006, I got a bit fed up with being this heavy. It's getting in the way of free movement now and that's bugging. I got to wondering about health and fitness, drifted off and had a major shamanic Project Sanctuary experience there and then.

Vampire Solstice is a fascinating event - more than a metaphor story, more than a parts integration, more than a hypnotic journey and more than just a vampire novel. I find plenty of amusement in intra-personal and out of body experiences, and of course, in Sanctuary, the sun always shines if you want it to :-)

After nearly four years, In Serein has finally arrived in the Hard, and we're pretty sure the planes will never be quite the same again! In 1999, I was seeing a huge amount of people on a daily basis for EFT treatments. I was learning at the rate of knots and absolutely excited by this amazing, wonderful, yes! miraculous tool we had been given that would make pain disappear, make emotional hurt as old and hard as rock simply dissolve and that would have people do all these things they never ever thought they could. Boy, that was exciting! Every client, every day, we were learning all these amazing new things about how EFT works and found more and more things you could do with it. It wasn't just about tapping this or that away. There was so much more - unblocking your own thinking processes, for example, so you could all of a sudden find solutions to problems you never thought you could even begin to figure out.

I was watching a rather sordid satellite TV programme about various weird aspects of sex when I came across something that did make me sit up and think, now this is a good teaching story in point.

"Dear Silvia, I find that in the University town where I live, very few psychologists have heard of EFT or any of the energy therapies. Would it not be a good idea if we all used the word, "Energy Psychology" in order to unite the field? Should we not spend more resources on creating scientific research studies? Would this not help with public acceptance of energy therapies overall?"

This article from 2002 welcomes the Snow Queen to the then story section at Sidereus and has some interesting reflections on the importance of story, story telling and especially fairy tales.

Once again, and from totally different starting points, Mindlist and MET List have come up with a thread that is very similar. On Mindlist, the question of "people typing instruments" came up and with it the question as to how useful that is, and whether or not one should attempt to "type" people at all. On MET, the question of mapmaking came up and whether or not it is useful to make oversimplified maps of the human energy system at all. I'd like to offer an essay on the topic of "Systemic Complexity" as I understand the processes involved, it might help allay some confusion.
